If you missed the workshop I ran a couple of years ago on the same topic, this is your chance to book a place on the new and improved one! I'll be running the workshop in Hay on Wye, one of the very best places for a writing workshop if you ask me, and well worth a bit of a drive.
In the workshop we will attempt to untangle the relationship
between
environment and memory through creative writing. How does our experience
of the world around us colour our interactions with the landscape of
the page? How can we use the landscape in our writing effectively and
evocatively? Down country lanes and through primeval forests; across
vast oceans and the cities of the past, we will look at the intrinsic
link between history and sense of place, and chart our own journeys
across a changing landscape.
The workshop will run from 10am to 4pm on the 17th of February, in Cusop Hall, which is walking distance from the middle of Hay. It is hosted by the lovely Hay Writers (who put together the poster above). For more details and booking information please see the Hay Writers blog here, or contact Marianne Rosen via email: marianne@mariannerosen.com or phone or text: 07967 454322.
